Katie Polyakova
Co-Founder & Director, Chair of Payments and Treasury & Chair of Banking Compliance Committee

Katie Polyakova leads banking compliance and treasury strategy at Wrapt, with over 15 years of executive experience in global banking, payments, and fintech. She currently serves as SVP, Head of Payments and Transaction Services at bank fintech Bottomline Technologies, a $2.6B Thoma Bravo portfolio company ($166 bn AuM). Katie manages bank partnerships with $10B+ financial institutions. Previously, she was SVP at IDB Bank, overseeing a staff of 200+ direct reports for treasury, payments and cash management. At $2 trillion Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, she led North American sales and product management in cash management for non-Japanese corporates. She worked at BNY Mellon in treasury services and began her career in financial services at Merrill Lynch.

 

Katie holds an MBA in International Business and a BBA in Finance and Economics from PACE University, graduating summa cum laude and magna cum laude. She also holds the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation, reflecting deep expertise in financial risk, regulatory compliance, and liquidity management.

Steve Polyakov
Co-Founder. Director & Chief of Legal Affairs

Steve Polyakov leads legal strategy and regulatory affairs at Wrapt, drawing on a decade of experience across financial services, fintech, and healthcare law. Prior to his legal career, he held senior roles at Citigroup, including as Control Officer for Capital Markets & Banking Technology, where he oversaw SOX compliance, internal audits, and enterprise risk controls. He later became Vice President in Citigroup’s Personal Wealth Management division, guiding product and compliance strategy for its fintech venture, myFi, which grew to $5B in assets and 200,000 clients.

 

Now a Shareholder at Polsinelli, an AM Law 100 firm, Steve advises clients on healthcare regulatory compliance, with deep expertise in Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and payor contracting. He holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from NYU, teaches healthcare law at NYU, and provides pro bono counsel on governance and compliance. Fluent in Russian.

Nicholas Wise

Nicholas Wise leads WraptShares Association, a D.C. – based cooperative modernizing access to private markets through structured finance. A former Deputy Assistant Attorney General under President George H. W. Bush, he was the DOJ’s principal liaison to the White House and Congress, helping to shape landmark legislation including the ADA and the 1991 Civil Rights Act. He served as Associate Counsel in the Iran-Contra investigation and led congressional reform efforts as Chief Counsel to both Senator and Representative Mike DeWine and to the U.S. Senate Joint Committee on the Organization of Congress. A founding executive of Homeland Digital, a key investor in WraptShares, Mr. Wise brings decades of experience in law, regulation, and governance. He holds a J.D. from Case Western Reserve and a B.A., cum laude, from the University of Cincinnati.
